1. Free trial
The free trial is provided at no charge. No payment is taken and no refund is applicable.
2. Subscription refunds
For Professional and Country Pack subscriptions we offer a full refund within 7 days of your first payment if you are not satisfied. To request a refund email info@panafricadata.com with your account email address and reason for the refund request.
After 7 days subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time and your access will continue until the end of the period you have paid for. You will not be charged for subsequent periods after cancellation.
Refunds are not available for subsequent monthly billing cycles after the initial 7-day period. If you no longer wish to use the service please cancel through your account settings before your next renewal date.
3. On-demand credits
On-demand credits are non-refundable once they have been used to query data. If you have purchased credits and have not used any of them you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. Credits never expire so unused credits will remain available on your account.
4. Country report refunds
Country reports (single country, regional pack and Full Africa) are one-off purchases of downloadable data files. We offer a full refund within 7 days of purchase provided the file has not been downloaded. Once a file has been downloaded we are unable to offer a refund as the data has been received and cannot be returned.
If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from downloading your purchased report please contact us immediately at info@panafricadata.com and we will resolve the issue or provide a refund.
5. Service discontinuation
In the event that we discontinue any paid service we will provide at least 30 days notice and a pro-rata refund for any unused subscription period. For country reports or on-demand credits we will provide a full refund of the unused portion.
6. Data quality issues
If you believe there is a significant error in data you have purchased please contact us at info@panafricadata.com with details. We take data quality seriously and will investigate promptly. Where we confirm a material data error affecting your purchase we will offer a credit, replacement data or a refund at our discretion.
Please note that all data records include a value type indicator (M, I, CF, TE or P) indicating the nature of the data point. Interpolated, carried forward, trend extrapolation and projection values are estimates and do not constitute errors.
7. How to request a refund
To request a refund please email info@panafricadata.com with:
- Your account email address
- The product you purchased
- The date of purchase
- The reason for your refund request
We will respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle.com and typically appear in your account within 5–10 business days depending on your payment method and bank.
8. Consumer rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law. South African consumers may have additional rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
